Sekuence Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sekuence (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “App”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Identity and Contact Data

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. This information is used to create and manage your account, allow you to log in, and populate your profile.

1.2 Athletic Profile Data

We collect information about your stance, combat sport, and skill level. This information is currently used only to personalize your profile. We may use this data for additional features in the future, such as tailoring training content or coaching insights to your profile; if we do, we will update this policy.

1.3 Performance and Analysis Data

To provide the core functionality of the App, we collect:

• Video input you submit for analysis (e.g., shadowboxing or bag work footage)
• Derived metrics generated from that footage (e.g., strike counts, strike volume, hand usage, punch/kick distribution)
• Generated reports and coaching insights based on your performance data

This data is used to power the App’s core service — analyzing your technique and providing feedback.

2. How We Process Video

We do not store the video footage you upload. Instead, your video is processed to generate pose estimation data (a skeletal representation of your movement), after which the original video is discarded.

Important: Pose estimation data derived from your videos is retained by us even if you delete your account. We retain the rights to use this pose estimation data to improve our AI models, including as labeled training data or for model validation purposes. Because this data does not include your original video, name, or contact information once account deletion occurs, it is retained in de-identified form. If you do not want your pose estimation data used in this way, contact us before deleting your account at support@sekuence.app — see Section 6.

3. How We Share Your Information

3.1 Third-Party AI Processing

Statistics and metrics generated from your videos are sent to OpenAI to generate your weekly, monthly, and total coaching insights. OpenAI processes this data on our behalf to generate these summaries. We do not send your original video footage to OpenAI — only derived statistics.

3.2 Other Disclosures

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information as required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transaction (such as a merger or acquisition).

4. Data Retention

• Account data (name, email, athletic profile): retained until you delete your account.
• Video files: never stored; deleted immediately after processing.
• Pose estimation data: retained indefinitely, including after account deletion, as described in Section 2.
• Performance reports/metrics: retained until you delete your account, except where derived pose data is retained per Section 2.

5. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can:

• Update your profile information within the App
• Delete your account, which will delete your name, email, and profile data
• Contact us regarding your pose estimation data as described in Section 2

Note that deleting your account does not delete retained pose estimation data, as described above.

7. Children’s Privacy

Sekuence is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children under this age.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means.
