Draft template. This document is placeholder text and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Replace it with policies that reflect what Sekuence actually does before launch.
1. Who we are
Sekuence (“we”, “us”) operates sekuence.app and the services offered through it. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.
2. Data we collect
- Information you give us — such as your name and email address when you contact us or sign up for a service.
- Technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically when you use the site.
- Communications — the content of messages you send us, kept so we can respond and keep a record of the exchange.
3. How we use your data
We use personal data to operate and improve the service, to respond to your enquiries, to keep the service secure, and to comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Legal basis
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, on the performance of a contract with you, on our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, or on compliance with a legal obligation.
5. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf (for example hosting and analytics providers), and where we are required to do so by law. Those providers are bound to use the data only as instructed by us.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or for as long as the law requires, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@sekuence.app.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the site. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be signalled by updating the date at the top of this page.
11. Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@sekuence.app.
